![]() ![]() The hardest part of the job would be long stretches of time alone with little to do, this wasn't always the case, and some stores are quieter than others, but on a quiet day, time can drag on. Management Ran a tight ship, they did a good job and where always available on the phone if you needed them, they would pay visits to your store to see how you Where doing and discuss ideas about the company. However on the occasions when when I was with other colleges,I can say they where all good people. I worked ay Shades Blinds over 5 years ago now, but during my time there the staff where treated very fairly, as a member of the retail section of the company I cant say much about work culture, as most of the time, only one person was assigned to a store. Your real boss was a decent guy too - the individual you deal with in dispatch, well that's another story. As someone higher up in shades said, you aren't there to make friends, you are there to make money, very true - just a shame its not going to be at shades.īest thing about the job - the other fitters are all brilliant guys who will keep you right and have some good banter, i wish them the best of luck. The bottom line pay without bonus wasn't great, my main reason for leaving, it is what it is. Basically some months you get some extra coins, some months you don't. ![]() Pay, well what can I say all the fitters are on different rates, some at 25k, some at 28k - even though you all do the same work.īonus pay - I never understood it, every fitter had a different idea of how it worked and the management had a different answer any time it was enquired about. ![]() It's Job and finish but a lot of jobs will still have time slots on them, e.g 'After x time' so it doesn't really work as Job and finish. The days go quick though, zero time for clock watching. This is (well it was during my interview) made clear to you, so fair enough. You will work hard, not a Job for those wanting to float about all day. ![]()
